On the whole, intrapreneurship is considered to be where a person within a larger organisation takes on personal responsibility (either by self-selection or selection from others) for taking an idea and ensures it is followed through with the fundamental potential of it adding to the organisations bottom line. In other words, an employee initiative that has the aim of developing a profitable venture or increased income or profitability.
