The Institute of Fundraising's Cultural Sector Network Conference, run in partnership with Young Arts Fundraisers, is the largest conference in Europe for arts and cultural fundraisers. Next year's conference, celebrating our fifth year, will take place at a venue in Trafalgar Square, Central London on Tuesday 10 March 2020

We are now inviting applications to present at the 2020 conference against the theme of Unchartered Waters. This theme acknowledges the current social, political and economic uncertainty both in the UK and globally, and explores how we, as cultural fundraisers, navigate this change. We are looking for sessions that are honest, draw from personal experience, and address issues of diversity and inclusion within the sector, its workforce and supporter base.

Sessions should be 45 minutes or an hour in length and fall under one of three strands:

1. PORTRAIT This track will teach delegates how to sink rather than swim when wading in unchartered waters. Sessions will cover how to improve personal health, wellbeing and work-life balance, and how to master ‘captaining your own ship’. We are looking for sessions that are honest and explore what to do when things go wrong, as well as right.

2. LANDSCAPE This track will look at how you navigate the shifting tides of fundraising. Sessions will cover emerging trends and approaches across all areas of giving and question how we diversify where our support comes from.

3. PRACTICAL This track will give delegates the tools they need to build a bigger boat. Sessions will cover practical and applicable fundraising skills, tools and methods.

All speakers will be reimbursed for their travel to and from the Conference.

The deadline for applications is Monday 30 September at noon with the programme confirmed and all applicants contacted during October.

A factsheet with further information about the Conference is available here. If you have any questions or need this form in an alternate format please email us at cultural@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk
