Research Sharing Hub
Introduction
The National Fire Chiefs Council is creating a research database. The database will form an important part of our evidence base when developing Fire Standards and other guidance.
We are asking representatives from every Fire and Rescue Service to tell us about any research you are aware of that deals with Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). This could include published research pieces from a journal, academic theses, any scholarly work, or published pieces of guidance.
This survey will ask you to input some details about the research, so you may want to have them to hand:
What kind of organisation created it: government agency, university/academic institution, research student, Fire and Rescue Service, NGO/advocacy group, independent researcher, or other
Author or organisation name
Year of publication
Title
Web link to access
Research question or motivation
Methodology (how was the research carried out)
Key points, findings or recommendations
Topic(s): prevention, protection, response, staff health and wellbeing, recruitment of staff, retention of staff, or other
Pertains to which characteristic(s): age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race/ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, gender, or sexual orientation
When you submit the form at the end, you will come back to the beginning of this survey to input another piece of research if you choose.
This form will stay open indefinitely, so if you come across any research in the future you can tell us about it via the original link. We will be in touch with all FRSs once the database is up and running to ensure that this knowledge is shared and accessible.
