Information for question 4

Direct award - selecting a supplier, without reopening competition, based on the terms of the framework agreement utilising the costs and rates provided within the framework for the completion of specific items of work.

Negotiated - selecting a supplier, without reopening competition, based on the terms of the framework agreement utilising fixed cost elements; including overhead, profit, prelims, design fees and pre-construction services. Through early engagement the 2 parties will then agree the variable costs for the project specific works.

Single stage tender – selecting a supplier via further competition amongst the contractors appointed to the framework, through a combined quality and cost evaluation based on the contract specific requirements.

Two stage tender - selecting a supplier via further competition amongst the contractors appointed to the framework, where the contract requirements are not clearly defined.
