The Occupational Competence has recently been revised to state that assessors and verifiers must hold a recognised Hairdressing/Barbering certificate and/or must[KC1]  have sufficient operational experience within the barbering industry that can be evidenced, is current and relevant to the qualification. This must be of sufficient depth to be effective and reliable when verifying judgements about internal verification and assessment processes and decisions.
