Together Fund Criteria

The Together Fund is a continuation of the Moving our Community Fund that was set up in April 2020 as part of Sport England’s support package to help the sport and physical activity sector through the coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis. 
We are delighted that Leap have successfully applied for £129,084 to identify, support and offer funding to community groups and organisations passionate about tackling inequalities surrounding access to sport and physical activity across Bucks and MK. 
Grant applications must come from organisations which are formally constituted, not-for-profit, and operating for the benefit of Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes residents.
This includes:
  • Charities
  • Clubs & Societies
  • Associations
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs) limited by guarantee 
  • Social Enterprises
  • Parish Councils (for projects outside the PC's statutory obligations)
  • Faith-based organisations (for projects which do not involve promotion of any particular faith)
  • Schools & PTAs (for projects which involve and benefit the wider community)
  • Not for profit organisations
What can we fund?

With funds provided by Sport England, Leap has set up this fund dedicated to help the sport and physical activity sector through the Covid-19 crisis.   
Grants are available from £250 to £5,000 with most grants being up to £3,000.
The grant is available to community organisations who are supporting the priority groups to be active, these groups are as follows:
  • People from lower Socio-economic groups
  • People who are ethnically and culturally diverse
  • People with Long Term Conditions
  • Disabled People
Use of this funding

Organisations must demonstrate the following:
  • Impact on at least one of the four priority groups
  • Funds to be used to operate and support existing activity/sessions
  • Show how the funding will either help a trusted club/community body to survive through the next 6 months and/or support their participants to remain active in the COVID-19 lockdown and early recovery stages over the next 6 months
  • Is there a clear ‘line of sight’ from this investment to physical activity taking place either now or in the immediate future
  • Demonstrate a clear financial need for the funding sought
  • Not be a duplicate application for funding already received from the Sport England Community Emergency Fund.
  • Be eligible to receive Sport England Lottery Funding
What can't we fund?

  • Organisations and/or projects operating solely outside of Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes
  • Activities promoting a particular religious or political belief
  • Overseas travel
  • Individuals
  • Statutory organisations (with the exception of parish councils)
  • CICs limited by shares
  • Organisations whose principal concern is animal welfare
  • Relief of statutory responsibilities
  • Retrospective funding
