Welcome! Using this form you can apply for a chance to win up to £1,000 to improve your local green space, get young people out in nature or help wildlife.

This round we are interested in projects that support nature or support young people to get out into nature during the colder months. Here are a few examples

- Buying wet weather gear or cold weather gear to make a clothes bank for young people in your group
- Items that will help wildlife during the winter - like bird feeders
- Planning winter nature walks or activities for local young people
- Buying fruit bushes or trees for winter planting
- Buying or making free nature activities or resources to do this winter

The winners will be approved by the Backyard Nature Green Youth Board.

Terms of the Funding
If you are successful in your funding bid, you will: 
- Gather together a group of at least 20 young people to do some Green Research about the outdoor space you use by the end of January - preview the form here
- The funding will be spent and you will have completed our impact report by the end of February 
- Organisations that apply must be connected to a local housing association  preference will be given to those taking action on social housing estates.
- Funding must benefit people aged 7-25 and ideally decision making would be youth-led 
- Complete an impact report that collects data about your service users, including ethnicity, age, gender as well as how your service users have benefitted from this funding.

Who lives here? What are their ages? Does your community include people from different backgrounds or from marginalised backgrounds based on ethnicity, age, income, disability etc.? Do people feel a sense of belonging?

For example, do some people find it hard to get outside because they have a physical disability or because there are locked gates keeping people out? Do some people feel like they are too busy or that they don't know enough about the outdoors? Do some people feel like it's not a nice outdoor space to be in because it's dangerous or not taken care of?
