Proposal of new Sensory Cafe/Hub in Torquay Town Centre

Sense Abilities aims to make sensory accessible to all no matter what age or ability and is a local Community interest company based in Torquay providing pop up sensory environments at present. With this in mind we are looking in to the possibility of developing a new public Sensory Cafe/Hub within the Torquay Town Centre.

The venue would have a range of sensory equipment within in it for all to benefit from and enjoy. A small cafe area would compliment this offering a range of healthy refreshments, snacks and light bites. Individuals, Groups, Visitors and Organisations would be able to use and hire areas of the venue.

There will be the possibility of sensory sessions, group activities and other organisational sessions that would enhance what the sensory Cafe/hub has to offer on a daily basis.

We would not be replicating a 'Playcafe' but offering something different with stimulating the senses being the main objective and open to all ages.

For example the possibility of an area of the venue bringing the 'outdoors in', an indoor garden with the sight, sounds and feel of the outdoors.
