Judging ESU Public Speaking Competitions

The Performing Shakespeare Competition allows Key Stage 3 and home-schooled pupils in England and Wales, between the ages of 11 and 14, to demonstrate and develop their creativity, their confidence and their ability to express themselves.
This training is designed as a supportive tool for both newcomers to judging and as a refresher for veteran judges. Once completed, a member of ESU staff will be in contact with you to discuss your results and go through the next steps.
In this training you will find some notes on the format of the competition, the marking criteria and advice on giving feedback. This is an abridged version of the Judging Guidelines however you will need to read the full document in order to complete the training. This can be found here.
You may need this open in a separate tab to refer to when you get to the quiz part of the training.
