Background

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of rules designed to allow EU citizens better control of their
personal data. The aim of the GDPR is to ensure the protection of its citizens’ data privacy by capturing Data Controllers and Data Processors who offer goods and /or services to EU data subjects regardless of whether these firms are domiciled in the EU or not. Despite the decision to withdraw from EU membership, the UK Government confirmed that these
regulations would apply to the UK and came into force on 25th May 2018. The regulations extend and strengthen the
provisions of the 1998 Data Protection Act and are enshrined in the new Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).

RMT Learning is required to obtain your consent to store and process your personal information. This is in line with the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which requires institutions to seek formal consent from EU citizens and residents for the usage and storage of their personal data.
