‘No One Left Behind’ - Project Overview:
Our project aims to utilise the specialisms of Museums Worcestershire (MW) and Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service (WAAS) professionals to support the whole historic environment sector in Worcestershire to recover from coronavirus. We hope to achieve this by developing training, toolkits and providing free and practical consultancy and mentoring - covering areas such as business and marketing plans, risk assessments and security, collections care, planning advice and conservation in order to upskill work forces, fill skills and capacity gaps and create a legacy of training and development tools.
Mentoring and consultancy assistance will be offered to archaeological units, Historic Environment Records (HERs), historic buildings, museums, heritage sites and community projects, paid and voluntary. If you need assistance to prepare your heritage organisation for the post-COVID-19 future and you are located in Worcestershire we want to help.
Our surveys:
We aim to survey Worcestershire’s heritage sector to provide evidence to Historic England (HE) and Government about the county's situation and identify what training, consultancy, mentoring, skills and capacity needs we can help to address. We intend to resurvey in six months time in order to inform HE and government about what the sector’s needs are for the future.
Protecting your data & publishing your answers:
If you do not wish to answer a question, please just leave it blank and move on to the next one.
Please be assured that the information you provide will be stored securely, only handled by appropriate project staff (from both MW and WAAS), and only used to inform the ‘No One Left Behind’ project. Answers will be anonymised in the publication of our findings. Should we wish to publish a specific quote alongside organisation details, we will contact you for permission and guidance as to the content.
Even if you do not feel your organisation requires support, completing our survey will provide valuable qualitative data informing our understanding of our heritage sector post-lockdown.
Please complete the survey before midnight on Monday 27th July 2020.
