Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust services provided at Chase Community Hospital Survey

We want your views - please help us by completing this survey

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the healthcare providers currently running services from Chase Community Hospital in Whitehill & Bordon. Hampshire Hospitals rents space at the Chase to run outpatient clinics for audiology, opthalmology, maxilio-facial, paediatrics and x-ray services.

The number of patients using these services at the Chase is small and declining and the number of consultants available to run clinics is limited. This means that it is difficult to continue to provide these services.

The Trust proposes to re-locate the clinics it runs in from Chase Community Hospital to Alton Community Hospital.  By running these clinics in Alton where we have consultants and clinics with higher numbers, we can continue to provide a service in the area, which would not otherwise be possible.

In addition, where possible, our commissioners, South Eastern Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group, are in discussion with other providers to see if they would be able to run these services at the Chase instead of Hampshire Hospitals.  This has already been possible with community midwifery. The Community Midwifery service has been transferred from Hampshire Hospitals to Royal Surrey County Hospital and so there will be no change to services available in Chase, only a change to the provider.ENT is now being provided in Alton Community Hospital.

This only affects the five outpatient clinics and x-ray provided by Hampshire Hospitals. The range of other services provided at Chase Community Hospital which will continue as normal. Other services at the Chase which are not provided by Hampshire Hospitals and which are not affected are: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening, adult mental health and child mental health, day centre, iTalk, drug and alcohol service, musculoskeletal service (MSK), physiotherapy, sexual health clinic, tissue viability and young person's sexual health.
Please tell us what we should take into consideration in planning any change.  This survey is anonymous. We do not ask for your name or any other data that would identify you.
This survey closes on 28 August 2018.
