Hedingham Omnibuses Route 87 Feedback Question Title * 1. Hedingham Omnibuses have been the local bus operator on route 87 since 2012, providing a 30 minute frequency service between Brightlingsea and Colchester during Monday to Saturday daytimes from early in the morning, with less frequent buses up to 2300 from Colchester and on Sundays. We replaced unsuccessful routes operated by First and others. However, the route runs at a loss and we can’t go on like that. So we thought we’d ask:Why do you think people are preferring to use First over Hedingham buses, despite the additional times we run? Hedingham buses are older The wi-fi doesn’t work well on Hedingham buses Hedingham are not very frequent from Wivenhoe Hedingham do not offer a through ticket to my destination I’d use Hedingham rather than First if they by-passed the University due to the speed humps I only travel Monday to Saturday daytimes and I get on the bus that arrives first Hedingham got it wrong in the past and I’m not going to continue using them There are no m-tickets on Hedingham buses yet Hedingham buses are more expensive Hedingham buses are unreliable I don’t like the Hedingham drivers I prefer the route via East Hill and Hedingham don’t go that way I’d use Hedingham rather than First if they by-passed Wivenhoe village Other (please specify) OK DONE
