Staff Availability Survey

You have been sent this survey as a GP practice staff member, or because you have indicated that you would be willing to support the forthcoming primary care Covid-19 vaccination programme in some capacity.

The Covid-19 pandemic has thrown challenges at the NHS and primary care that could never have been imagined. Our work to combat the virus has taken many forms and NHS staff have been instrumental in the treatment and care of patients as well as coping with the uncertainty, fear and change it has brought to our working and personal lives.

We are all focused on defeating the virus so that normal life can return. The advent of vaccines to dramatically slow the spread and severity of the virus within the general population brings us new hope.

The UK Government has tasked primary care with the early roll-out of a vaccine to key population groups. We don’t yet know exactly what these groups will be, but primary care needs to plan to deliver vaccines on a large scale to a significant number of our patient population.

Harrogate and Rural District are working together in order to plan for delivering a mass vaccination programme and we need to ask primary care staff and others to help. We will need staff to undertake a variety of roles and we need to plan for vaccinations to be carried out seven days a week, 8am-8pm, including bank holidays.

This is a huge ask, but we would like staff to indicate if they would be willing to help in some capacity. We have designed the survey below so you can let us know if you are able to become involved, and this gives you an opportunity to state your preferences for location, type of work, shifts, times etc so we can quickly understand what is possible.

By completing the survey you are NOT committing yourself to work the indicated sessions but simply so we can understand potential capacity.

There remain many unanswered questions to which we are urgently seeking answers and we will provide definitive information about the vaccination programme as soon as we can.

If you could complete the survey now, this will indicate the number of people who are willing to help and allow us to make initial plans. We will be in touch with each individual person who fills out the survey once we have more information about what will be involved. 

Please be assured that the personal information you add to the survey will be held and processed only for the purposes of this Covid-19 vaccination programme and will not be shared with any person or organisation outside the scope of the project. All details will be confidentially disposed of once the project has been completed.
