Participation requests are a new way for people to have their say about improvements they would like to see made to the public services they use.

They are part of a piece of Scottish Government legislation called the The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act.

By making a participation request, a community body (or group of people in a community) can ask to start a discussion with organisations in charge of public services, such as hospitals, schools and transport, about how to improve these services.

This free workshop for community groups and organisations is a chance to find out more about participation requests, how to make one and what to think about before you do.

The workshop is being delivered by Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC) and kindly hosted by the Carnegie UK Trust.

Please register your interest in attending below. If you have any difficulties registering please contact Andrew Paterson at SCDC on 0141 222 4837 or email andrew.paterson@scdc.org.uk
