Thank you for completing this survey. It is conducted by the Incorporated Society of Musicians and should take no longer than ten minutes to complete.

Our intention with this survey is to gather more evidence in connection with:
- how travelling to and touring within the European Union is essential to the livelihoods of musicians in the UK
- the realities of travelling to non-EU countries (e.g. USA, Canada, Japan, China, India).

Gathering data on these issues will allow us to assist in future trade talks and make sure we get the best deal for musicians in the trade negotiations.

With your permission (see final section), we will use your responses to make the case to Government for:
- a two-year, multi-entry EU touring visa that is admin-light and cheap
- the continuation or equivalent of the A1 certificate
- the introduction of a simple, cheap and fit-for-purpose customs mechanism to allow temporary transportation of instruments and equipment to the EU
- increased number of CITES-designated points of entry and exit
- the continuation of free Musical Instrument Certificates
