Commencing 1st April 2020, the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust will be providing Mental Health and Learning Disability services across Herefordshire.   These services are currently provided by Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.  As we will be providing services in a new geographical area, we have started to give consideration to the Trust’s name.

NHS England offers clear guidance around the name of NHS Trusts, and all names need to be clear, logical, and descriptive and contain a geographic reference.  We therefore wish to engage with a range of stakeholders around whether it should be changed to a new name and if so, what that should be, or if we should leave it as it is, and include a local branding.

We have five options that we would like your views on.  We only need you to make one choice, and to tell us why you chose that particular option. We will collate all engagement feedback and will forward it to Trust Board, who will make a final decision.  This decision will be announced in May 2020, through a range of communications channels.
