Centre for Ageing Better survey of local authorities

The survey is being conducted by the Centre for Ageing Better which, along with Habinteg, is co-chair of the HoME (Housing Made for Everyone) coalition. The aim of the coalition is to achieve a higher regulatory baseline for the accessibility of all new homes.

* 24. On 20 July 2020, government published legislation for further expansion of permitted development rights. This will allow for offices to be demolished and rebuilt as housing, and for the upwards extension of existing residential properties, without the need for full planning permission.
