Such costs may cover, but are not limited to:
  • Travel costs to social events and activities organised by the University or Students’ Union (SU) that meet the goals of the student group.
  • Food costs that may be incurred as a result of unsociable event hours
  • Subsidising end of year balls
  • Joining SU societies and groups which have membership fees
  • Purchasing equipment necessary for joining SU society activities (for example, team kit)
  • Joining RAG (Raise and Give) challenges which have admin fees
  • Trips that meet the goals and purpose of the society
  • Gaining relevant documentation to participate in activities (e.g. overseas criminal records checks that require payment).
If there are other activities which may fit the scope of this grant and have not been included above please send an application and this will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We aim to update all applicants between Monday 18th to Friday 22nd of January 2021 with the outcome of their submission.
