Visit Isle of Wight will be hosting an Autumn Walking Festival from Saturday 8th and Sunday 16th October.

Please submit your walk here and please ensure that you complete ALL parts of the form and don’t forget your grid reference.

Easy (1) - Mainly flat walking, on paths with good surfaces. No stiles, none or few steps. Distance up to 3 miles.

Fairly Easy (2) - Gentle, rolling landscape, walking on paths with good to average surfaces. Some walking on gentle inclines, some stiles or steps to be expected en route. Distance up to 5 miles.

Moderate (3) - Varying landscape with more challenging slopes. Stiles and steps to be expected en route, suitable for keen walkers and anyone who is reasonably active. Distance up to 8 miles.

Fairly Strenuous (4) - A challenging walk, suitable for fit walkers with some experience. Steep gradients, stiles and steps and uneven surfaces to be expected. Distance up to 12 miles.

Strenuous (5) - Long walk with varied terrain suitable for fit, experienced walkers.

Mobility 1 - Walkers need to be reasonably agile and mobile. Not suitable for walkers with mobility impairment of any kind

Mobility 2 - Suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance.

Mobility 3 - Suitable for a person with restricted walking ability and for those that may need to use a wheelchair some of the time.

Mobility 4 - Suitable for a person who depends on the use of a wheelchair.
