The old Somerset & Dorset Railway, running from Bournemouth on the south coast up to Bath and Burnham on Sea, was decommissioned in the 1960s. However, in many areas, the level track of hardstanding still remains. Some sections of this and other connecting disused railways have already been transformed into multi user paths.  Where it hasn't already been done, we're proposing to re-appropriate this disused track for walkers, disabled users, cyclists and horse-riders. We'd love to know what YOU think about this.

Question Title

* 1. To what extent do you support or oppose the transformation of the disused Somerset & Dorset Railway into a well-surfaced, multi-user track, with good disabled access, creating a safe and level link away from cars and farm vehicles between towns and villages across Somerset for the use of walkers, cyclists, disabled users and horse-riders?
