AI Landscape Survey 2019

1. Introduction

Question Title

What does Artificial Intelligence mean to you?

This survey is being conducted by David Burden and Maggi Savin-Baden to help better understand what people think of when they hear the term "AI" or "artificial intelligence".

On the next page you'll be presented with a list of different sorts of computer systems, some real, some from science fiction. For use the 3 dropdowns to rate each system out of 5 in terms of how:

how sophisticated you think it is (1st column),
how human you think it seems (2nd column), and
how well it measures up to you idea of what an AI is (3rd column).

There is then a page asking you how important a variety of different features are, in your view, for a "virtual human" - a human-like AI.

The penultimate page just asks for some basic demographic information.

On the final page you can leave your email if you'd like to be entered into a prize-draw for David and Maggi's new book on Virtual Humans.

The results of the survey will only be used in aggregrate and will be posted to the www.virtualhumans.ai blog and website.
