This study is being conducted by Dr. Alison Attrill (University of Wolverhampton, UK) and Dr Melanie Keep (University of Sydney, Australia). It requires you to complete a series of questionnaire statements about your  social media use. The survey will take about 5 minutes to complete.

Please note:

1. You must be aged 18 or over to take part in this study.
2. You can withdraw from this study at any time and for any reason without any adverse consequences. If you do wish to withdraw please simply click on the Quit button that will be present throughout the study. Please note that once you submit your data via the Submit button at the end of the study, you will no longer be able to withdraw your contribution from the study.
3. The online survey tool will record your IP address to avoid duplication. However, since no identifying information will be requested, you will not be able to be identified from your IP address. When the data is downloaded, this information will be removed and your responses will be anonymous.
4. All of your answers will be confidential and anonymous. At no point will you be required to provide identifying information about yourself such as your name. Please note that by completing the questionnaire, you are giving your full and informed consent to your data being added to the overall data set for analyses.
5. Your data will be pooled with data from other participants and analysed at the group level. Your individual data will not be identifiable. The only people who will have access to the anonymised data will be the main researchers. Other researchers may access the pooled data should they work on the publication or dissemination thereof. It is important to note that at no point will any of these individuals be able to identify you from your data.
6. All raw data will be securely stored. Electronic data will be kept in password protected data files only accessible to the main researchers.
7. The data collected may be written up as a manuscript for academic publication. If the manuscript is published, then the data will be destroyed five years from the date of publication.
8. Please note that feedback cannot be given on individual performance, but will provide an opportunity at the end of the study to seek out further information about the overall study outcome.
9. It is important to note that there are no correct or incorrect answers to any of your study contribution. Rather, your honest opinions/behaviours are of interest.  Please also note that there is no time limit for completion of the questionnaire.
