This survey is intended for musicians and agents/managers/others working in the music industry who visit the UK to work, or who apply for visas for musicians to visit the UK for work, and who live in non-EEA countries, (e.g. in North America, Africa, Asia, Central America, South America, the Middle East, Oceania, and European countries that are not in the European Union or EEA such as Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Moldova, Belarus, Andorra, Macedonia, Montenegro).

The survey aims to find out more about the experiences of musicians from non-EEA countries visiting the UK to perform, compose, or promote their music. The survey is particularly interested in the process of applying for different visas to visit the UK.

This survey has been produced by the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), which is a financially independent not-for-profit organisation with no political affiliation, based in London (UK).  The ISM will not share your information or data with anyone; all responses to this survey will be strictly anonymized. We can assure you that your responses will be used confidentially.  The ISM has no connection with the UK Government.

We would like to hear from countries all over the world so if you are unable to respond in English, please use an online translation tool to understand the questions and respond in your native language.
