Local Authority Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Gate fee survey

WRAP would like to invite you to take part in a review of Material Recovery Facility (MRF) gate fees in England. This survey is aimed at MRFs receiving recyclables only. A key aim of the study is to increase transparency in the waste treatment market and provide data that will support the successful implementation of the Resources and Waste Strategy. By giving local authorities better information on cost per tonne of the management of recyclables through MRFs, this should help to improve the efficiency of the procurement and provision of waste management services across the UK.

We realise that you are subjected to a large number of requests for information but we think it’s important that your data is included and have endeavoured to minimise the length of the survey, so it can be completed in as little time as possible. All information received will be treated as confidential and none of the reported information will be attributable to any individual local authority responding to the survey. The confidentiality of all respondents is therefore guaranteed and has always been a top priority in any surveys WRAP undertakes.

For any issues in completing the survey, please email: gatefees@wrap.org.uk
