Introduction

Glasgow Urban Sports (GUS) is a registered Scottish Charity led and managed by volunteers who want to make urban sports, like BMX, Skateboarding and Scooting accessible to everyone.

GUS have identified a large area of vacant land below the M74 Motorway bordered by Devon Street, Eglington Street and Victoria Road on the Southside of Glasgow, that we think would make a great new Urban Park, supporting Urban Sports and bring additional facilities to the surrounding community e.g. a space to host events, public artworks and an active green, leisure space:

Devon St Urban Park Proposal

Over the last few months we have been working with local groups and organisations to share our ideas and build support for our proposal which is now actively supported by New Gorbals Housing Association, Glasgow City Council Neighbourhood and Regeneration Services, Sustrans, Crossroads Youth and Community Association and Loading Bay Skatepark.

We now want to share this proposal with as many people as possible, to make sure it meets the needs of the people who will use it and, of course, the surrounding communities.

How we use your information?

b) Only be used to compile an anonymous report to help us better understand support for the proposal, identify any common concerns and inform our next steps.
