Welcome page

We're conducting a survey to establish how a new Greenspaces Network can best support groups like yours and your input would be appreciated.

We are a group of organisations (see above) that are running a short-term project (until March 2017) on Brighton & Hove’s greenspaces groups, with funding from the University of Brighton’s Community-University Partnership Programme (CUPP).

Our project aim is to help set up the foundation for a future shared platform for groups that focus on the management of Brighton & Hove’s green spaces to come together as a productive partnership, facilitating links between groups and enabling them to develop shared approaches and a collective  voice.

What is the purpose of this survey?

This survey aims to collect information about the characteristics of the diverse range of groups involved in green spaces management here, to better understand their nature, aims, and needs – and your interest in principle in participating in a future citywide network.

Who is involved in this research?

The steering group members for this CUPP project are: Brighton & Hove City in Bloom (CIB)/ VACOS, Trust for Developing Communities (TDC), Community Works, the Brighton & Lewes Downs Biosphere programme, Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC) and the University of Brighton.

How will we use your responses?

The data will allow us to create a database of the key voluntary organisations actively involved in the management of green spaces in Brighton and Hove. The findings will be analysed, presented at our first meeting for groups on Thursday 2nd February, at Brighthelm centre from 6pm, and published in a CUPP report . The University of Brighton also wishes to use the data collected for further analysis and publication, and for this purpose the data will be anonymised to comply with data protection.

How long will it take?

This survey should take no longer than 10-15 minutes depending on the detailed information that you are providing. Please provide a single response only for your greenspace group. Your contribution is really valued to support the objectives of our project.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.
