Using the new facilities, the club is considering running 'Come and Try' introductory sessions in running (sprinting & hurdling), jumping (long, triple & high), throwing (shot, javelin & discus). These sessions would probably run on a Saturday morning or in holiday time and are intended to allow children to try new areas of athletics in a fun and non-committal way. Would your child/children be interested in participating in these sessions:

* 4. Do you have younger children (minimum Year 2) who may be interested in attending 'Come & Try' sessions:

The club is also considering running regular weekday evening 4 week blocks of athletics comprising a 45 minute session at 4pm and 4.45 as an introduction to running, jumping & throwing for years 2-6.  This could be for current junior harriers or children who have not previously participated in athletics. The intention is that children can experience all forms of athletics and if interested can transfer onto other areas of our athletics programme. Would your child/children be interested in participating in these sessions:

* 6. The club is considering introducing new outdoor athletics sessions for Year 7 & 8.  Possibly half term blocks of running, jumping & throwing on weekday evenings after 5.30pm. If your child is currently Year 6 or older would they be interested in participating in these sessions:

* 7. The club is considering introducing new sessions for Year 9 to 13 which could include elements of running, jumping & throwing and general conditioning. Probably weekday evenings after 5.30pm. If your child is currently Year 8 or older could you indicate which sort of sessions they may prefer:

* 8. The new athletics facility could be used for summer holiday athletics sessions, either run by the club or liaising with external providers. Would your child/children be interested in participating in summer holiday sessions:

* 9. Mums & Dads - have you always had a secret wish to throw a javelin or try triple jump? Would you be interested in introductory athletics sessions for fun!! or more serious training sessions with the idea of competing or would you attend one-off informative workshops to understand the different athletics events to support your child. * 10. The new athletics facility, located at the Ben Rhydding playng fields, comprising an 8 lane 100m running track, jumps pit, high jump and dedicated throws areas for shot, javelin and discus would be a benefit to the children in the area and the wider community.
