Ofsted and (CQC) have been conducting inspections of Special Educational Needs Disability (SEND) provision in Local Authorities across the country since May 2016. Following those initial visits the DfE announced a program of revisits for local areas who had to produce a Written Statement of Action (WSOA).We are expecting our local area revisit to take place in the very near future.

Revisits allow Ofsted and the CQC the chance to assess the progress the local area has made against each of the actions in their WSOA. They are also intended to provide additional reassurance to families on the progress local services are making, identify where further work is needed, and identify any improvements made to SEND services and in delivering better outcomes for children and young people.
