Hair and Make-up Survey
Equity Member Survey: Hair and Make-up Needs of Black and Minority Ethnic Members
Equity is surveying black, Asian and minority ethnic members (BAME) as part of an on-going initiative to improve the standard and availability of hair and make-up support across the entertainment industry. Following three rounds of training for hair and make-up artists undertaken in partnership with sister union BECTU, Equity now seeks to identify those areas of the sector which need to improve its policy and practice when providing hair and make-up services to BAME actors and performers when employed or contracted for work.
Equity seeks to ensure that its members do not face discrimination in their experience of work. Equity will be utilising the data gathered from this survey for discussions with employers and employer bodies across the entertainment industry to ensure no difference in the experience of members when they are offered hair and make-up support.
Please complete as many questions as you can of this survey. All responses will be treated in confidence. You will not be contacted again once you have completed this survey, unless you request this when completing the final question.
