CISRS - The Unite campaign for OCA and Bilfinger Salamis to pay for full CISRS renewal
The OCA employers and Bilfinger Salamis are refusing to pay for the costs of HSE endorsed CISRS CPD, an essential part of CISRS card renewal.
Unite is opposed to this. Our position is that:
There ought to be just one card - the CISRS card - for all scaffolders both onshore and offshore.
That there should be no dispensation for offshore employers and certainly not two different recognised qualifications.
Therefore, offshore employers ought to pay for this training in its entirety, including for accommodation and any loss of earnings.
Unite has opened formal dispute procedures with both the OCA and Bilfinger Salamis.
We will be mounting a full campaign for the employers to pay for all aspects CISRS card renewal.
