The Kickstart Scheme provides six-month employment placements for 16-24 year olds on Universal Credit - assisting them to gain the skills and experience they need to succeed in the future.

The scheme provides funding to the employer to cover the wages of each young person (equivalent of up to 25 hours a week of national minimum wage) as well as extra funding to support the development of the young person.

In Suffolk, we are delivering Kickstart through a public sector partnership, alongside skills and training providers (including our colleges), with Suffolk Chamber of Commerce acting as the “Gateway” organisation for employers wishing to register their interest.

In this very short survey, we are interested in finding out from those companies that have NOT as yet applied for a Kickstart as to why that might be.

If you have applied for a Kickstart placement - thank you and please disregard this survey.
