The objective of this work is to use the expertise of a range of South African stakeholders to inform the future development of climate services, which meet national, regional and local requirements and priorities. Climate services involve the production, translation, transfer, and use of climate knowledge and information in climate-informed decision making.
The delivery of existing climate services is not enough to address the various climate challenges which South Africa faces especially in urban areas. Users’ requirements need to inform new climate services which are to be created in the future. This survey focuses on climate services for the human settlements and urban areas in South Africa and how in the future these can better meet stakeholders’ needs.
The information gathered by this survey will be strictly used to inform this study and the results, if required, will be shared with you.
