The Asian Connect in partnership with Oceanic Events , the company behind the successful Britain's Asian Wedding Awards, The London Asian Business Awards and many more are delighted to announce nominations are open for the 2nd British Asian Music Awards 2022 powered by German Doner Kebab.
The Asian Music industry in the UK over the years has given us hours of pure entertainment and has developed some incredible stars. The industry has changed considerably and although music now being developed is very different to the music being created in the 80s and 90 we feel the reach is now wider and the artists more equipped to try different styles.
The inaugural British Asian Music Awards held in 2021 became a virtual celebration, with 1000s of votes received and many more views and shares online of the final ceremony which was shown on all the social media channels . 2022 will be an intimate reflection and celebration of the year that was and tell the stories of how our music community has navigated this unique and challenging year with live awards ceremony to celebrate it.
This July via a virtual ceremony we intend to not only honour and celebrate the spectacular music released over the past year but also highlight the incredible and important work of many of the individuals, organisations and initiatives throughout the British Asian Music Industry that are using music to unite communities and generate commercial success
