The We Listen Award
This award is open to all members of staff and will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to delivering forward-thinking quality services through listening to, learning from and empowering colleagues and/or patients, making Team QEH a better place to work. The winner will have had a notable impact on their colleagues working environment by actively listening and consistently acting appropriately in response.

The We Act Award
This award is open to all members of staff and will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
It recognises an individual who provides exceptional person-centred care through listening to and understanding the needs, goals and wishes of patients, service users and their families and who then delivers that care with exceptional compassion and dignity. The winner will have shown resourcefulness beyond that expected e.g. solving problems or demonstrating initiative in responding to difficult situations or unforeseen circumstances.

The We Care Award
This award is open to all members of staff and is open to public vote.
For an individual who has the courage to speak up and who works collaboratively, always seeking ways to personally develop whilst willingly sharing knowledge with others. The individual consistently displays a positive attitude towards their work, delivers outstanding, patient-centred care and strives to achieve excellent patient experience in their area and/or the wider Trust.

The Patient Safety Champion Award
This award is open to all members of staff and will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
This award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to improve patient outcomes, improve safety or the standard of care delivered. This may also be awarded to someone who repeatedly provides innovative ideas about how to improve working practices, that result in a cost saving or improvement to patient safety and experience. The individual actively tackles and improves the patient safety culture and outcomes within their area or across our hospital.

The Clinical Team of the Year Award
This award is open to all clinical teams, including newly created or temporary teams and will be open to nominations from members of the public as well as from Team QEH.
This award recognises a clinical team that has gone above and beyond the call of duty, and has made an outstanding difference to our patients. The team will be an exemplar in working together effectively to deliver clear benefits for patients and their families. The team works collaboratively, encouraging participation and openness, while sharing ideas, responsibilities, skills, resources and credit. The team promotes a positive work environment, and delivers results that exceed the expectations, leading to improvement in procedures, practices, productivity, or service levels.

The Non-Clinical Team of the Year Award
This award is open to all non-clinical teams, including newly created or temporary teams and will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
This award will be presented to a non-clinical team that has gone above and beyond the call of duty, and has made an outstanding difference to colleagues by providing a support service that enables the smooth running of the organisation. The Volunteer of the Year Award
This award is open to all active QEH volunteers and will be open to nominations from members of the public as well as Team QEH.
This award recognises and honours an outstanding individual who regularly volunteers their time and talent at Team QEH. This individual will have made a significant contribution to the experience of our patients, their families and our staff through commitment, service and creativity in their volunteer role(s).

The Growing Our Own Award
This award is open to all members of staff, apprentices and students, who joined Team QEH after 31 March 2016. This award will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
This award recognises an individual in the early stages of their career. The individual will have made a notable achievement in their learning and development. Their learning journey will have transformed their own lives and has positively impacted the lives of others. The winner will be recognised for consistently seeking to improve their own skills and knowledge and to promote personal development in a manner that results in continuous improvement in the team’s performance.

The Behind the Scenes Award
This award is open to non-clinical members of staff and will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
This award will be presented to an individual who may not come into contact with patients on a daily basis but whose work behind the scenes consistently contributes to the smooth running of the hospital. It recognises colleagues in non-clinical roles, working in any part of our hospitals, supporting Team QEH to deliver brilliant care.

The Leader of the Year Award
This award is open to all members of staff and will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
An award that recognises brilliant leadership by an individual who demonstrates a positive and sustained impact on patients, service users, carers and/or staff whilst role modelling our values. The winner will have provided outstanding leadership to teams and individuals, such that the quality of delivery of that team is measurably improved. They will have positively influenced the broader culture of the department and/or the Trust by providing an outstanding example of positive behaviours and practices.

The Allied Health Professional of the Year Award
This award is open to all registered AHP’s, students and AHP support workers at Team QEH and will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
This award will celebrate an exceptional member of our Allied Health Professionals team. The winner will have shown a willingness and ability to learn beyond the immediate requirements of the post, applying knowledge and skills gained effectively to the benefit of the patients, their families, the department or the wider Trust. They will have shown outstanding patient-centred care and played a pivotal role in the development of their service to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients or their colleagues.

The Inclusion Champion Award
This award is open to all members of staff and will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
For a person/team that promotes equality, diversity and inclusion for patients and staff. This person/team will have contributed to and enhanced patient and/or staff experience through their commitment to inclusion. They will have positively influenced the broader culture of the Trust by providing an outstanding example of positive behaviours and practices.
The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Education or Research
This award is open to all members of staff who act as educators or mentors, as well as those working in research settings. It will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
This award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication or creative thinking in their work to develop or improve services for our patients and/or learners. Researchers will have been instrumental in the creation, launch or management of research programmes within the Trust. They will have contributed to our vision to become a leading applied health service research centre by integrating discovery and innovation and translating this into world class patient care. Educators will have made an outstanding contribution to the learning journey, life or career of their learners through their passion for the role. They will have consistently acted as an advocate, supporting and inspiring them to achieve to the best of their abilities, helping QEH to grow a sustainable workforce.

The Chairman’s Award for Developing Against the Odds – a Personal Journey
This award is open to all members of staff and students and will be open to nominations from Team QEH only.
This award recognises a member of Team QEH who has succeeded in developing both professionally and personally through adversity. They will have shown exceptional determination to achieve transformational change, reaching their goals despite barriers beyond their control. This special award will celebrate the dedication, talent and professionalism of Team QEH and will shine a light on those who have truly achieved against all odds.
