This section of the survey asks for information about your thoughts on the development.
The lease-holders of Palace Gardens and Palace Exchange shopping centres, DWS (Deutsche Bank), propose a major redevelopment of this complex, which stands in the Enfield Town Conservation Area, on land owned by Enfield Council.
The Palace Square phase 1 scheme includes: new retail and catering outlets, leisure and evening venues (including a gym, cafes, restaurants and a boutique cinema), residential units, co-work spaces, enhanced landscaping and improved access to, and through, the shopping centre.
To fund these improvements, in phase 1 the developer proposes to build 350 residential units to rent; a further 250 will follow in phase 2. They will stand above the shopping centre in 6 blocks, ranging from 7-26 storeys.
