Dorte Mandrup
Danish architect Dorte Mandrup heads up her eponymous practice, which brings an ‘experimental curiosity’ to all of it projects, which range from sculptural observation towers, through thatched countryside visitor centres to current plans for Western Europe’s tallest tower in a small Danish town.

Reiser + Umemoto
New York City’s Reiser + Umemoto (RUR) is a multi-award-winning practice headed up by Jesse Reiser and Nanako Umemoto, who are both committed to practice and teaching and have created building across the world from Pittsburgh to Taiwan, where they are currently completing Taipei Center for Popular Music.

Snøhetta
Originating in Norway, the now multi-national Snøhetta has created a dynamic body of architectural work from landscape-driven retreats, through a recent underwater restaurant, to the remodelling of New York’s Times Square.

* 2. Blueprint Award for Design

Ilse Crawford
Former launch editor of Elle Decoration, turned designer, Danish-born Brit Ilse Crawford now heads up Interior designer StudioIlse, which states that its mission is to put human needs and desires at the centre of all that it does. She has become a major figure within the interior design community.

Neri&Hu
Shanghai based Lyndon Neri and Rosanna Hu head up Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, which over the last decade has produced design work (and architecture) which has a uniquely Chinese aesthetic sensibility perfectly translated for an international audience. Neri and Hu are also creative directors of Stellar Works.

Neri Oxman
American-Israeli designer, architect and thinker Neri Oxman is the founder of Mediated Matter research group at the MIT Media Lab, which uses computational design, digital fabrication, materials science and synthetic biology to explore design possibilities in small and large structures.

* 3. Blueprint Award for Critical Thinking

Eva Franch I Gilabert
Catalan architect, curator and educator Eva Franch I Gilabert, is the first female director of the Architectural Association in London (and the youngest ever). She joined the AA in 2018 from New York gallery/think-tank Storefront for Art and Architecture, which she headed up for eight years, before that having won a fellowship at Princeton University.

Keller Easterling
Keller Easterling is an architect, writer, professor, and director of the Master of Environmental Design program at Yale University. As well as authoring many books, Easterling writes for architectural press and lectures across the globe.

Nigel Coates
British architect Nigel Coates has created, exhibited, taught and written about architecture and design all over the world, constantly challenging the meaning of architecture and object while drawing on ‘the confusing and excitement of urban life’ to create a unique vision.
