There is a growing recognition in homecare that our sector is beset with some very significant challenges, not least that the sector is not sufficiently understood by key stakeholders and decision makers. The need to recognise and work with providers or their representatives to achieve the necessary outcomes for people needing care, policy imperatives, as well as the essential stability and sustainability for our vital part of the wider social care sector. This importantly, links commissioning and homecare to produce outcomes and the challenges of inspecting against outcomes.
