Introduction

This international research project is being conducted by the Henley Centre for Customer Management (HCCM), and is investigating online shopping for high involvement products during physical store closures due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

By high involvement products, we mean those which require the customer to undertake an extensive thought process to consider and evaluate the product prior to purchase, and by lockdown we mean the closure of public activities including retailing due to quarantine / social distancing rules.

You have been approached because you may have purchased a high involvement product online during this time. It will take about 10 minutes of your time to complete the survey.

Responses are anonymous and individuals will not be identified by name in the final report. The data will be kept securely and either destroyed after the completion of the project or retained securely for inclusion in publications directly related to this research, subject to participants consent to do so.  By completing the questionnaire, it will be understood that you are aged 18 or over and that you give consent for your responses to be included.

The project has been subject to ethical review in accordance with the University of Reading Research Ethics Committee procedures and has been given approval.

Many thanks for your support.
