Penicuik Storehouse Community Survey |
Introduction
Over the last couple of years some people have been working hard to find a community use for the old Scotmid building on Penicuik's High Street., There is a vision to reopen this as a vibrant community hub, including an innovative focus on food. There has already been a very high level of community support, with over 700 people buying community shares. But taking the asset into full community ownership will only happen if the people of Penicuik want it, if it will have an obvious benefit, and if it is going to be financially viable. Your views will help to shape the future development of the Storehouse, and contribute to making Penicuik a more vibrant place to live and work.
