Description
Train to become a key member of a Film or TV drama production team

Course Content
The Script Supervisor’s role is an exciting, varied and demanding job requiring many skills for being part of the film and TV production team, working closely with directors and producers, interacting with performers, and providing accurate information on location, in the studio and for the edit suite. 

This introductory course introduces you to the role of the Script Supervisor and the skills required to be effective in the job.

The course covers:

- The relationship with Production
- Workflow
- Reading and timing scripts, page count, script breakdown and wrap reports
- On set skills: continuity, eye lines, shot descriptions, scene coverage, relationship with costume/make-up/ art departments 
- Negotiating with actors
- Editor’s notes and the marked up script


Tutor
Margaret Graham is a Script Supervisor with over 30 years experience working on film and television drama productions. Her credits include Outlander, Shetland, Beats and Filth. She is a strong advocate of training for newcomers to the industry.

Fees:

Freelance Rate: £775
Corporate Rate: £1250

Once you have been accepted on the course we will invoice you, by email, for the full amount of the fees. We must receive your payment 5 working days before the course at the latest. Your place on the course is not confirmed until we have received full payment from you, or you have received written confirmation that you have been awarded a bursary.
