Welcome

‘Malawi and Scotland: Together for Sustainable Development’ is a high-level conference taking place in Lilongwe on the 28th and 29th September 2018.  The conference will celebrate the friendship between our two nations and discuss the next chapter in the bilateral relationship.  Specifically it will bring together civil society, government and parliament to discuss how best to implement the new ‘Global Goals Partnership Agreement’.

We appreciate that many in Scotland who have been involved with Malawi links for many years will not be able to attend in person and may wish to feed in to the discussions remotely.  This online interface offers members this opportunity.  Please complete as many or as few questions as you wish, always making clear which strand/country your comments relate to at the top of each page.  We will then ensure this input is fed to the Key Contributors for this Working Group, so your views can be represented.

We are keen to emphasise that this is not a governmental consultation, the Global Goals Partnership Agreement having been agreed.  Rather, this is an informal non-governmental channel for a diverse range of civic groups and individuals in Scotland to feed into discussions in Malawi relating to the delivery of this Partnership Agreement.

In addition, you are welcome to submit a short (max 30 second) pre-recorded video giving your input/experience relating to any of the questions here.  Videos must be emailed to Pamela Tulloch (Pamela@scotland-malawipartnership.org) by 0900, 24th September.  When emailing Pamela, please make clear which question you are answering.  We will endeavour to play the video inputs we receive during the working group sessions.
