Cost of Living Crisis - Sandwell VCS Impact Survey |
Introduction
The UK is currently in the grip of the most severe cost of living crisis seen for decades. High inflation and sharply rising fuel bills are pushing more and more people into poverty and hardship. Charities and community groups, alongside local authorities and health services, are amongst those looking to provide help and support.
The financial situation is not just affecting us all as individuals but also impacting significantly on businesses – both private and charitable. This survey seeks to understand how the rising costs of everyday supplies and services are, and are going to, affect our local voluntary and community sector in Sandwell. It aims to understand the risks and pressures over the coming months, and how this may impact on support for residents and sustainability for voluntary organisations.
SCVO will use the information gathered through the survey to consider what support can be offered, brokered or sought for local charities and groups, as well as sharing this insight with local strategic partner organisations.
The information you give to us will be treated in the STRICTEST CONFIDENCE. Figures drawn from this survey will only be shared as a collection of data – no individual information/names of participants will be disclosed to any third party.
Please complete as much as you can of this survey. If you have any questions relating to this survey, or if you feel SCVO can help you in any way, please contact Mark Davis on 0121 525 1127 or e-mail mark@scvo.info. Please complete the survey by Friday 30th September 2022.
