Nominations are now open for the 2018 Hands Up for Trad Community Music Awards. We want to hear about individuals, groups, projects and organisations making music happen in communities across Scotland.
Hands Up for Trad Community Music Awards are there to recognize and celebrate all kinds of music groups. From pipe bands to samba bands, ukelele or recorder groups, orchestras, ensembles or choirs in any genre: jazz, folk, pop, rock, world or indie, we want to hear about it!
With 6 categories to choose from the 2018 Hands Up for Trad Community Music Awards will highlight and bring public and media attention to the diversity and value of music making in Scotland. Nominations close on April 30th.
Nominations in each of the 6 categories will be assessed by a panel of industry experts resulting in a shortlist of 3 finalists in each category. These will be announced on 14th May. Winners will be chosen following an online public vote and winners announced on June 14th.
