About the awards

The SVG Europe Sports TV Awards 2020 will recognise and honour the outstanding companies, teams and individuals that pushed sports broadcasting and production forward within the 2019 calendar year. The judges will be looking to reward people, organisations and projects, big or small, that have led by example, experimented, taken risks and achieved results that can contribute to the continuing forward momentum and success of the industry as a whole.

The SVG Europe Sports TV Awards 2020 ceremony will take place during the Sports OTT Forum at Lord's Cricket Ground on 27 May 2020. 
Before you start your submission
Before starting your entry, please be aware that you will be asked for the following items during this application process:
  • An executive summary of your entry in no more than 200 words
  • Written supporting documents to aid your submission (PDF and Word docs can be uploaded)
  • URLs for supporting video (no video files to be uploaded please)
NB/ It won't be possible to return to your entry at a later date in order to add documents or links so please have these handy before you start your application. 

If you are entering multiple categories or wish to enter multiple times within a single category, please submit a separate form for each of your entries.

If you need to protect the video with a password please include the details along with the URL. You may submit up to three videos per entry.

For the OTT Experience award, you can provide the judges with temporary access to the service, feature or app so that they can see the experience first hand. Please provide the URLs and log-in details below.

Additional information
  • If you are shortlisted for an SVG Europe Sports TV Award, you will be notified directly by SVG Europe. 
  • The shortlisted entries will be announced publicly before the end of March 2020.
  • SVG Europe will ask all shortlisted entrants to help with media and promotional opportunities in the run-up to the awards ceremony. 
  • Shortlisted entrants may also be asked to provide video or stills material to support the awards ceremony. 
  • If your nomination is shortlisted, it is expected that you or your entry representatives will be able to attend on the day and, in the event of winning, be available for SVG Europe media and photo opportunities and to collect the trophy.
  • The winners of the SVG Europe Sports TV Awards will be announced on Wednesday 27 May 2020 at Lord’s Cricket Ground during the Sports OTT Forum.
  • Full event details of the ceremony including timings will be made available nearer the time.
