Dear Parent(s),

All boarders whose parents or legal guardians reside abroad are required to have a nominated guardian living in England. This is a person who is able to be at the school at short notice (usually within two hours) and will look after a boarder in a medical or other emergency situation. The guardian should be a householder who speaks good English and be contactable by telephone both during the day and in the evenings. Should you have any difficulty in finding a suitable guardian, the Admissions Department can direct you to professional guardianship organisations.

Please note that we will contact the guardian by email to confirm the information you give on this form.

Thank you.

Edwin Jones, Director of Boarding, St Edmund's School Canterbury
