Community action on empty homes

Action on Empty Homes is developing a Community Action Toolkit for local authorities, community groups and other partnerships to use as a resource to help bring empty homes into use as affordable housing for local people. We expect the Toolkit to be available for free download from our website in early 2021. As we start this work, we’d like to gain a snapshot of the extent to which local authorities are currently collaborating with communities to bring empty homes into use.

A community may refer to community action in a defined geographical area or to action involving a community of people who share a need for secure affordable housing, for example ex-forces personnel, new entrants to the UK, young people facing homelessness, people with mental health needs, people in recovery or leaving prison.

The survey has just seven questions and should take around 5 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous.

We'll publish the results of the survey during Empty Homes Week: 23rd - 29th September 2019

Please help us build a national picture of community action on empty homes and take part on or before Friday 26th July 2019
