Project Curlew - Dornoch Question Title * 1. The Dornoch Area Community Interest Company (DACIC) published its plans in April this year for Project Curlew, a new community-owned building next to the UHI student accommodation in Shore Road. Since then DACIC has also investigated potential uses of the Police Station and moved the planned gym & fitness centre there – so if both buildings go ahead there is now an opportunity to include a new community hall within the Project Curlew building instead of the gym originally planned. This is a suggestion from the Community Association who own the Social Club – so that between the two buildings their long-held aspirations for a new community centre will be met and the Social Club could be sold.DACIC will shortly make an application to the Scottish Land Fund for a grant to buy the land required and, to support this, we want to seek the views of the community on the planned uses of Project Curlew.
