Researchers from the University of Liverpool, the University of Manchester and the University of Cambridge are proposing to compare how effective different skin cleaning chemicals (antiseptics) are at preventing patients from developing a wound infection after their surgery. They propose to do this on patients having brain surgery.
As somebody who may have had to have an operation, or may at some point require an operation, or may have to agree for their child or significant other to have an operation, it is key for us to know whether you think this study is important and whether it would be acceptable from a patient or parent’s perspective.
