Survey: Creative Workers in Newport CULT Cymru's joint-union learning programme is working in partnership with Urban Circle Newport (UCN - a socially engaged production house) to develop and deliver a range of learning and industry engagement sessions with young adults in the Newport area). We are also seeking to engage with local creatives (across all sectors) to identify whether there's an interest in meeting other creatives in the Newport area for e.g. potential collaboration, information sharing, training, community engagement, general networking etc. The project with UCN is part of UK funding received by Ffilm Cymru/Foot in the Door to encourage people into the film and TV sector. It is expected to run from April – September 2022. We are keen to identify experienced and skilled TV and Film professionals in the Newport area who are interested in finding out more about working with us in supporting young people from the local area to develop new skills around tv and film production. UCN are already planning some film and music productions in the summer. Some of these young people may wish to consider a career in the industry and some of you may want to be involved in some way.
